Design Product Manager

A growing UK company that manufactures leading technology protection relays and medium voltage
circuit breakers is looking for a Design Product Manager in Manchester. Along with a salary of up to £70,000 per annum, you will also receive 25 days holiday per year (pro rata) with a yearly increase,
and a company pension scheme.
This is an excellent role for an experienced Mechanical or Electrical Engineer familiar with concept
design through to final product manufacturing, ideally from a switchgear background and willing to
lead a team undertaking an end-to-end approach.
As Design Product Manager you will:

• Take a lead role in design and manage the engineering team
• Be active in discovering and investigating new manufacturing processes and techniques
• Interpret client requirements into functional cost-effective designs
• Liaise from design through to inhouse fabrication

We’re looking for a Design Product Manager with:

• HNC/HND with relevant experience or BSc/BEng Electrical / Mechanical Graduate
• Experience designing within SolidWorks to produce unambiguous manufacturing and
  assembly drawings
• Experience of IEC62271 and ENA TS41-36 standards
• Familiarity of type testing switchgear including dielectric, short circuit, pd and mechanical
  endurance requirements

You will be working 37.5 hours per week, based in Manchester.
