Temporary Role
We are currently looking to recruit for a Temporary Design Technician to work within the Technical team for our client, a division or a leading national housing developer.
You will produce material cutting lists for Group house types requiring fitted wardrobes and to assist with new product/design layouts of both our marketing suite furniture and bedroom furniture as required.
Design Technician Key Duties:
- Provide technical support to sales and installations teams to ensure Bedroom Furniture installations are in line with Group requirements
- Produce technical cuttings lists and associated paperwork in line with required timescales, and identify standard and bespoke products and processes as required for the installation of furniture
- Provide a professional and efficient service for the installation of products to the department's internal teams / Group teams as required
- Share technical skills and processes with internal teams as appropriate, and take ownership of specific technical tasks/requirements within the technical team
Design Technician Essential Experience:
- Must be able to interpret/reference house type layout drawing and be proficient in scaling off drawings
- CAD or similar drawing package experience essential
- Joinery/design background preferred
The salary will be based on the experience and skill set of the individual, ranging from £23K - £36K. Working hours are 8.30am-5pm Mon-Fri. The role will be office based 5 days per week until training has been completed, then it can move to 3 days office and 2 days WFH.
