£6.50 per hour for the first year then between £7.49-£10.42 per hour dependent on age.
37 hours per week (4 days per week on site, 1 day per fortnight at the Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce Training Centre).
Term time only plus teacher training days.
Hours of work 8.00 am to 4.00 pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am to 3.30pm on Fridays
Do you love the idea of working with children? Are you passionate about improving students’ life chances? Do you have a keen interest in Food and/or Technology? This is a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated apprentice to join our friendly and hardworking Technology faculty.
You will be enthusiastic and motivated about food and determined to help students develop their own enthusiasm. The faculty enjoys excellent dedicated teaching bases comprising well-equipped stainless steel modern kitchens, workshops, CAD/CAM and product design classrooms.
This is a unique opportunity to combine effective and efficient support for the learning and teaching of Food technology whilst gaining an insight into the role of a technician and teaching assistant.
This opportunity provides scope to develop knowledge, skills and experience that could be used a stepping stone to employment as a permanent technician, teaching assistant, cover supervisor or acceptance onto a teaching apprenticeship.
You will complete an external training course gaining the following nationally recognised qualifications: -
- Certificate in Support Teaching and Learning in Schools Level 2, Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning Schools Level 3, Pediatric First Aid
and if required,
- Functional skills in Maths, English and ICT.
