We are looking for two teachers of Design Technology for them.
Start date: August 2024
Campus: Penang, Malaysia.
DT is part of their arts faculty, which comprises art, drama, music and Design Technology and DT is a very popular and successful subject at both IGCSE and A level. Facilities for DT are the best in Northern Malaysia, and include a range of 3D printers, CNC router, laser cutter, precious plastic recycling machinery and a fully equipped workshop and their arts teachers are supported by a specialist technician. The school has a strong tradition in DT, with students taking part in STEM activities such as F1 in schools, Bufori EViE and Design Engineer Construct, for which students have won numerous awards.
Requirements:
The candidates should have related degree plus teaching qualification.
Experience of teaching DT to at least GCSE level, and ideally to A level or similar, is required for at least one of these posts.
Packages:
They offer a package of around GBP30000 per year which sits alongside a relatively low cost of living, supplemented with a very generous pension scheme, annual flight allowances, relocation allowance, medical insurance, and free tuition for 2 children.
They are a boarding school, and all teaching staff make a small termly commitment to our boarding provision, but staff who are interested can also take on paid roles in boarding.
