About the role
Exeter College is looking to appoint an experienced, talented and inspirational Designated Safeguarding Officer (DSO) to join our outstanding safeguarding team within the Student Services Department.
The Designated Safeguarding Officer is a key support role within the college, reporting directly to the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and working with the designated Faculty Management Groups, Tutorial Area Managers, Personal Tutors and Resilience Officers to ensure effective and efficient management of safeguarding in line with regulatory and legislative requirements and with full regard for the college’s Safeguarding, Equality Diversity & Inclusion and Health & Safety requirements.

About you
Successful applicants will need to be prepared to work flexibly, demonstrate resilience and have a working knowledge of safeguarding policies, procedure and legislation. They will also have the ability to work under pressure and be able to communicate effectively at a multi-agency level and with learners of all ages.
