SalaryThe Global Corporate Technology Team is responsible for crafting, deploying, and supporting Bloomberg's internal IT systems. This includes our global corporate network plus all of the hardware, software and enterprise applications used by nearly 21,000 employees in more than 170 state of the art offices around the world. We focus on enterprise solutions, productivity tools, and IT systems integration which helps move all of Bloomberg's businesses forward.
Our Team:
The Desktop Services Engineers are responsible for overseeing the maintenance and security of our infrastructure for multiple environments within Bloomberg. We work closely with many internal business units and colleagues to ensure that employees have secure and efficient systems to fulfill their daily duties. From early on, you'll help empower our roadmap, be given challenging tasks, lead initiatives, and take ownership and responsibility. In this team and the fast paced environment we work in, we constantly challenge the status quo and look for ways to improve workflows and introduce efficiencies by automation of day to day tasks.
What's in it for you:
The Desktop Services Team is seeking an experienced Engineer to manage our end user compute environment with over 30,000 endpoints. Your responsibilities will include maintaining Group Policy, Citrix environment, software and operating system deployment management while leveraging Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager and Intune. This professional will need a deep understanding of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager and its infrastructure with strong PowerShell scripting skills.
In addition to day-to-day support, you will work closely with your teammates and customers to relay critical information while documenting your work. You will be asked to follow the procedures put into place in terms of change management and ensuring these changes are ready for our environment, communicating these changes all while providing a flawless user experience.
You'll need to have:
- Experience with medium to large scale IT enterprise application and/or infrastructure
- Understanding the architecture around SCCM it's components and using in a multisite corporate environment
- Comprehensive scripting skills using PowerShell & Python
- Experience with DevOps, SQL queries, Enterprise Microsoft, third-party security patching and Azure/Intune
- Knowledge around supporting servers and client application administration
- A Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, similar field of study or equivalent work experience
We'd love to see:
- Knowledge of packaging with Admin-Studio or similar applications
- IT security fundamentals
- Mac administration skills including deploying software and patches
- Experience with Log aggregation tool sets (e.g. SPLUNK, Grafana)
- Cloud infrastructure experience
- Experience working within an agile workflow
