Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Dessert Maker to join our team at a restaurant in
Duties:
- Prepare and create a variety of desserts, including cakes, pastries, pies, and other sweet treats
- Follow recipes and instructions to ensure consistency and quality in all desserts
- Decorate desserts using various techniques to create visually appealing presentations
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are followed throughout the dessert preparation process
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to coordinate dessert orders with the overall meal service
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring dessert ingredients and notifying management when supplies need to be replenished
- Maintain a clean and organized dessert station
Skills:
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
- Experience working in a restaurant or culinary environment
- Strong food preparation skills, including baking and pastry techniques
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and adjusting recipe quantities
- Excellent time management skills to ensure desserts are prepared in a timely manner
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Passion for creating delicious desserts and experimenting with new flavors and techniques
