SalaryA manufacturer of a range of well known consumer chemical brands is currently looking to recruit a Development chemist to their growing team.
With experience in formulating products within the household, consumer care, cosmetics or wider chemical industries and a passion for NPD, the successful applicant will join a small but gorwing team and will head up the development initiatives of the laboratory function.
Key responsibilities:
- Formulation development and product testing assuring that all existing products are at the forefront of current technologies and bringing new innovative product ranges to the market.
- Management of a small existing Technical Team, supporting and guiding, where necessary.
- Supporting customers with NPD projects.
- Management and distribution of MSDS for the entire product range.
- Quality Assurance and system management
- Work closely with internal teams on development projects.
- Technical support and customer engagement.
Skills, experience and qualifications:
- At least three years’ experience in a chemical-based role.
- Ideally have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or related qualification in Chemistry or a relevant field.
- Computer literacy – MS Outlook, Excel, Word.
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to interpret limited technical information and completely convey information to others.
- A passion for NPD.
- A willingness to learn and support the wider business with development and regulatory requirements.
