Job description

Development Coordinator
Location: Liverpool
Salary: £26,171 – 35hours per week. (Extra pay for on call)
Qualifications – You must have a level 3 or 2 NVQ in health and social care.
Your role as a community Development Coordinator is to support and develop the community services used whilst ensuring the needs of the service users are met. You will be responsible for the staff, service users and organisation.
 
Responsibilities to the people we support -
  • Ensuring Quality Support: Deliver support in a way that aligns with the unique needs and preferences of each individual.
  • Building Relationships: Meet and familiarise yourself with the individuals and families receiving support to better understand their requirements.
  • Promoting Positive Relationships: Foster positive relationships with individuals, families, carers, staff, professionals, and other stakeholders involved in the support process.
  • Documenting and Updating: Develop and update support plans, care plans, risk assessments, etc., ensuring comprehensive information is available and shared among relevant staff.
  • Support Staff Oversight: Oversee support staff in identifying and securing opportunities for the individuals they support based on discussed outcomes/aspirations.
  • Representation at Meetings: Represent the organisation at service reviews and other professional meetings to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Safeguarding: Ensure compliance with procedures to safeguard individuals against abuse and promptly report any concerns.
  • Data Collation: Collect relevant information such as reports, costings, and expenses related to services when required.
  • Quality Monitoring: Assist in monitoring service quality through relevant quality assurance systems, supporting the Service Manager in maintaining high standards.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Assist the Service Manager in ensuring departmental compliance with external regulations, such as Social Services Contracts.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain and respect the confidentiality of both the individuals supported by the organisation and its staff.
 
Responsibilities to Staff
  • Lead rota management in collaboration with the Administrator.
  • Finalise monthly schedules.
  • Review staff contracts.
  • Ensure accurate recording of additional information.
  • Manage staff holiday requests.
  • Coordinate shift cover during absences.
  • Conduct staff supervision, appraisals, and team meetings.
  • Oversee the induction process for new staff.
  • Actively identify and address training needs.
  • Ensure staff compliance with policies
  • Monitor documentation submission
  • Actively participate in the recruitment process
  • Identify shortfalls
  • Conduct interviews for potential candidates
 
Responsibilities to the Organisation
  • Contribute to project development for service enhancement.
  • Provide direct support during staff shortages, especially in essential situations or safeguarding concerns.
  • Act as a positive role model, embodying organisational values, and promote to stakeholders.
  • Manage own workload and administrative tasks as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Administrator to update documents and systems for compliance with external regulations.
  • Participate in the On Call rota.
  • Proactively support personal development by identifying necessary training.
  • Undertake duties aligned with the post's objectives as directed by the Service Manager.
