Development Engineer

Key accountabilities

To identify opportunities for improvements and make recommendations to improve machine and process effectiveness.

To assist in managing engineering projects from inception through to completion, including:

• Writing equipment specifications
• Managing all appropriate resources
• Implementing and monitoring
• Compliance with budgetary limitations.
• Effective hand over to production.

To adhere to company Health and Safety requirements.

This position is not solely office based and requires a hands on approach

The Candidate

Timed served engineer, electrically bias

Ideally, a good working knowledge of PLC and servo control systems

Understand and be able to work with Pneumatics and Hydraulics

Good computer skills, CAD systems, ideally Auto-Cad would be desirable.

Have experience on installing and commissioning new pieces of equipment

Good understanding in all aspects of Health and Safety, including control of contractors

Proven ability to work and deliver to agreed timescales

Self motivated and work on own initiative as well as part of a team
