Sport England is committed to growing and developing grassroots sport and getting more people active across England. An important part of this is understanding and supporting grassroots volunteers involved in running clubs and groups which deliver sport and physical activity.
We are seeking a Clubs Development Manager who can manage and steer the Buddle programme. Buddle is Sport England’s support programme for volunteers who run clubs and community groups providing sport and physical activity and for the paid workforce whose role it is to support them - https://buddle.co/
This role connects internally to other Sport England work areas and externally with partners and stakeholders to provide support to voluntary sector organisations which is relevant, accessible and supports our mission to tackle inequality.
Day to day you will oversee the running and development of Buddle, steering delivery plans, content development and learning materials. You will build and maintain relationships to help understand how the needs of the voluntary sector are evolving and how support can be best provided by us and by others.
Your work will drive a learning culture, sharing best practice and insight. You will champion ideas and support their development to meet the challenges faced by volunteers, local community clubs and groups and those within the paid workforce.
