Devops Engineer Orchestration

This new and phenomenal opportunity has been built to join a large team delivering a technically complex solution to a Public Sector customer based in the south.

As our DevOps Engineer, you will be delivering and integrating software to form a complete DevOps toolchain. Be responsible for planning and crafting large groups of stories.
Role is hybrid fixed and you will need to spend time in our Portsmouth OR Salisbury site. The time on site will depend on what part of the project you are working on.
You do need to be eligible for and prepared to go through DV Clearance for this role.

What you'll be doing:

• Transform technical requirements into an effective DevOps toolchain to allow product delivery
• Coach and mentor junior colleagues
• Make sure deployment strategies for products are repeatable, scalable and highly available
• Have deep technical knowledge, providing support to delivery teams and solving complex problems
• Design, code, verify, test, document, amend and refactor complex programs/scripts and integration software services

What you’ll bring:

• Experience of using state configuration management tools, such as Puppet, Ansible, SaltStack, Chef
• Experience orchestrating diverse infrastructure including Windows/Linux/multiple networks esp. Cisco ACI/multiple storage platforms/VMWare ESX
• Scripting: Python, PowerShell

It would be great if you had:

• State Config Management: Puppet, Ansible, SaltStack, Chef
• Integration APIs: XML, JSON and RESTful interfaces
• Perl, Ruby, Lua, Tcl,vRealize, ServiceNow
