Experience of enteral feeding is essential, and some experience of parenteral nutrition is desirable but not essential as we will provide training for this. Some insight into the complexity and fast patient turnover of a busy critical unit is useful. We use evidence-based practice to direct our recommendations, so critical appraisal skills are essential. Training and knowledge development to support your new role will be supported. Delivers a comprehensive and effective clinical nutrition and dietetic service in acute hospital services in the specialist area/s.
