We are recruiting a Digital Analytics and Optimisation Specialist to join our Digital Optimisation function within the wider CMO team. You’ll produce analysis to help the Society make data-driven decisions in order to benefit our customer experience and commercial outputs. This includes using the latest digital tools and analytical techniques to identify new opportunities and make recommendations, along with supporting the development of existing products and services.

The team you will be joining, is the digital optimisation team which has 2 Digital Analytics specialists and 2 Optimisation specialists. This team is at the forefront of the optimisation of experiences across digital platforms, the best practice SEO implementation and the Digital Analytics function. We work with teams all across the business with a close relationship with Digital and other CMO functions.

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Working closely with your stakeholders, you’ll deliver continuous improvements to our digital platforms.
  • You’ll be responsible for producing a wide range of analysis , making sure you track performance against agreed KPI’s, supporting with analysis of our Optimisation/Personalisation and Testing efforts and measuring the success of delivered change.
  • This role will be working with external partners and having a good understanding of our web analytics software and being able to build and deliver dashboards with key information for stakeholders.
  • As a member of the team, you’ll help promote a culture of analytical curiosity by providing innovate data solutions to business questions.
  • In an ever-changing world, it’s important you keep up to date with external technical developments to help keep the Society at the forefront of Digital Analytics.
What Do We Need From You?

We’re looking for someone who has a relevant technical certification Adobe or Google Analytics, with the ability to understand, interpret and manipulate data from multiple sources. You’ll be an excellent communicator with the ability to present complex data to a non-technical audience.

The key competencies for this role are:

  • Highly analytical with a focus on problem solving and critical thinking
  • Expert in mining large and complex data sets
  • Technical knowledge and experience ideally in using Adobe Suite (Analytics, Launch, Target) in a web analytics role.
  • Experience in using equivalent tools such as Google Analytics and Tag Manager would also be considered.
  • Experience in agile/lean methodologies for continuous delivery and improvement
  • Ability to coach and support colleagues
