SalaryCroydon Almshouse Charities (CAC) is excited to be recruiting a Digital and EDI Strategies Lead to join our passionate and committed team, based in South Croydon and working across the borough. We are seeking a dynamic individual who has a passion for innovation solutions and an ability to drive organisational success through strategy creation and implementation.
Salary: £37,104-£50,199 FTE
Location: Ellis David Almshouses, Duppas Hill Terrace, Croydon CR0 4BT
Job Type: Part time, 14 hr/wk, can be flexible
Contract: 6 month contract, with the possibility of an extension
Work Type: Hybrid working 1 day a week from home if required
Background
Croydon Almshouse Charities (CAC), and its affiliated charity Croydon Relief in Need (CRiN), operate within the diverse boroughs of Croydon and Merton. CAC provides accommodation to older people who are supported to live independently with a focus on person-centred, dynamic and holistic support. CRiN allocates grants of over £200k each year to Croydon voluntary sector. Our work is funded by a portfolio of investments and income from our almshouses.
The 2024 Annual Plan commits CAC to transforming how we work by embedding a Digital Strategy/Delivery Plan and an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Strategy/Delivery Plan at the heart of our operations. Both strategies should bring significant challenge to how we work, to ensure we end in a different place to where we are now.
Purpose of the post
To successfully bring about change at CAC, developing and delivering a meaningful and impactful Digital Strategy and EDI Strategy.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- To develop a Digital Strategy/Delivery Plan, and an EDI Strategy/Delivery Plan, to bring about fundamental change to how CAC operates as a charity
- Identify opportunities to leverage digital tools and platforms to enhance CAC’s operations
- Integrate EDI principles into digital strategy development to ensure accessibility and inclusivity for all stakeholders
- Establish outcomes to measure the impact of the strategies/initiatives and provide regular reporting on performance
Person Specification
It is essential that the post holder has:
- Proven experience in developing and implementing digital strategies within organisations
- Strong understanding of digital technologies, platforms, and tools relevant to digital transformation
- Strategic mindset with the ability to think critically and develop long-term digital strategies aligned with organisational goals
- Demonstrated success in integrating EDI principles into digital transformation
- Familiarity with relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices related to EDI
- A good knowledge of the voluntary, community and faith sectors (VCFS) and/or local authorities
