A fantastic opportunity to join a social enterprise, based in Exeter, in a brand new position of Digital Communications Officer, in a part-time role, 21 hours a week. Your role will see you shape and deliver a digital strategy and develop creative online content across the website, email newsletters and social media channels.

 

The opportunity is with an award-winning not-for-profit social enterprise offering unique, high quality day care for small groups of socially isolated older people with early to moderate dementia. Within the intimate environment of our hosts’ homes, small groups enjoy a relaxed, enriching day together as friends, allowing them to grow in confidence and reduce their risk of isolation. As a result, our clients feel empowered, with many experiencing stabilised or even improved symptoms of dementia, while their loved ones can enjoy regular, extended respite.

 

You will be a passionate copywriter, with the ability to tell stories empathetically and engagingly. You will join a brilliant, close-knit team. -          The role is offered as 21 hours a week/ 3 days a week. The hours can be worked in office hours, however best suits you.

 

-          Salary £32,000 pro-rata. (21 hours a week would be £19,200)

 

-          Location: Hybrid – remote, with expectation of working in their Exeter HQ at least one day a week.

 

-          A full UK driving licence (To travel to visit groups)

 

Your expertise:

 

As this is a new role, within a busy team, the organisation needs someone who will bring in ideas, and need little supervision. It’s essential that you can hit the ground running with the following skills:

 

  • Experience managing organisational social media channels, implementing tactics and strategies to grow engagement
  • Experience creating and scheduling content across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter
  • Experience using MailChimp or similar email client
  • Ability to manage own time and workload effectively, with strong prioritisation and planning skills to capitalise on key events and opportunities
  • Knowledge of CMS
  • Ability to use Google Analytics to extract meaningful data
