You will be working within the higher education sector in Scotland, as a Digital Content Officer on an initial 3 month basis. This role is offered on a hybrid working pattern, working within the Internal Communications team.
Your new role
The role involves creating and delivering exciting and innovative content for online platforms, such as blogs and social media. The content should be easy to understand, engaging and stimulating for the audiences. The content should also include high quality and professional video and photographic materials, as commissioned by clients or team colleagues. The role requires meeting changing deadlines, workloads and priorities, and providing a timely and responsive service. The role also involves managing digital assets in compliance with policies and legislation, leading the photography service for the function, and helping other colleagues with Digital Content production and editing
What you'll need to succeed
The role requires a person with qualifications and experience in photography and/or video production, Digital Content creation, and content planning and production across various digital platforms. The person should be highly digitally literate, creative, and attentive to detail. The person should also have experience of using professional Digital Content production packages and web based cms systems. The person should be able to organise, prioritise and manage multiple projects and digital assets, as well as liaise with clients and identify income generation opportunities for the team. The person should also demonstrate continuous professional development to maintain digital literacy.
