Technical Lead [DDaT] – Hybrid 2 Days | Bristol [North] UK – Permanent Position

Agency Summary:
The role can be reduced, in summary, as taking responsibility for championing the use of modern Digital and Data technologies to achieve, and futureproof, service strategies, ensuring that services have the appropriate solutions available in the format best suited to their requirements.
To succeed in this role, you will act as the strategic interface between Service Management and Corporate IT functions. You will not be responsible for Service Delivery, but rather focus on capability mapping; understanding client needs and service challenges to plan strategy and actions.

• Perform initial analysis and prepare recommendations.
• Identify requirements and take lead on the definition and delivery of a suitable solution.
• Identify training & support requirements, implementing new technical procedures.
• Collaborate with colleagues in digital management to help develop annual budgets for both new developments and live maintenance.
• Develop high-level road maps and business cases for new investments.
• Manage and mentor a small team across two disciplines; Technical Implementation & Operational support.

Experience/Skills:

• Degree-level education in a relevant subject.
• Experience working with Public-facing services/applications.
• Strong record of delivering innovation using communication and networking to influence change.
• Proven stakeholder management skills across a wide range of people and professions.
• Experience working with national and regional policy and legislation.
• Proven experience of decision-making at a senior level within a complex environment.
• Experience of successfully managing projects, budgets and people.
• Experience developing and presenting business cases for investment.
