Digital Evidence Management System Administrator Role Profile
We are excited to announce have a new role for a Digital Evidence Management System (DEMS) Administrator, due to us being in the process of implementing an innovative system that will bring together all our Digital Evidence for cases in one place.
You will play a key part in to supporting and developing how we transform the collection, analysis, storage, and sharing of Digital Evidence, directly supporting front line policing.
Your main responsibilities will include using your experience, to develop and test systems You will ensure that user acceptance testing is conducted, documented, and carry out any fault rectification. You will also support system users, develop reports to highlight performance, and ensure that evidence is stored and retained, in accordance with legislation, policies, and procedures.
Along with having strong problem-solving skills, to be successful you will also have:
- Excellent IT skills and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
- A high level of attention to detail and be comfortable with producing and presenting accurate data and information.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate with a broad range of diverse customers across a variety of platforms.
- Demonstrable experience of delivering high quality, customer orientated services, to meet required SLAs and KPIs, ideally in a high-volume environment.
The following are desirable entry requirements, however full training will be provided:
- Experience in using a complex records Management System and using data query and extraction tools, or designing and developing system reports, would be beneficial, but not essential.
- Knowledge of legislation governing the retention of police evidence and information (Criminal Procedure and Investigations Act 1996, Management of Police Information and Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984).
