SalaryJob Ref: ATR369Title: Digital Learning FacilitatorHours: 36 per week (Full time)Contract: Temporary (Maternity Leave Cover) Location: Based at both East Ham & Stratford CampusSalary: £30,777 - £32,694 per annumThe Role:We will soon have a Maternity Leave Cover role of Digital Learning Facilitator (DLF) to join Newham College.The post will require you to contribute to developing, testing, and refining high quality Digital Learning resources, activities, and programmes to support Newham College’s diverse student community. You will be expected to design and produce high quality blended and remote, online learning projects to include pedagogy and technology and provide specialist advice and support to teaching staff. To maintain and update the college e-learning systems, carry out audits of content and departmental pages, offer training to staff to support development and quality of content. Design and deliver online and face to face e-learning inductions and study skills workshops for students to develop their skills and support their learning.You will be part of the Learning Centre Resources (LRCs) team and will contribute to helping staff the LRCs as part of your daily duties.The role will require you to provide specialist support to students to develop their study skills using digital platforms and e-learning resources through delivering inductions, masterclasses, and workshops. And, offering bespoke sessions for targeted curriculum areas as appropriate.You will facilitate the delivery of student initial assessments, e learning inductions and study sessions. You will work as part of a team to maintain and utilise the college library management systems. Work as part of a team to plan and facilitate the development of college resources and update the VLE (Moodle), intranet and online systems notably E-Tracker, Century Tech, Impereo, Activ Inspire and Apps such as Quizziz and Kahoot.You will be expected to work one evening a week.The candidate will have:Experience of delivering high quality workshops and/or teaching & training sessions to further or higher education students and staff.Experience of working in a Library environment will be an advantage.Excellent IT skills and be fully conversant in MS Office 365.In return we offer: Generous Pension Scheme to Academic and Business Support Birthday leave – over and above the generous annual leave Employee Assistance Program – via Vita Health, which offers various support including Money, Work, Retirement, Health and Wellbeing, Emotional Support, Management Support, Legal and Your Rights Occupational Health Assistance 4 x designated staff development days annually.
