About the role:
Activate Learning has recently secured funding to deliver Local Skills Improvement Fund (LSIF) projects, focused on collaborative working with other FE providers across our geographical areas to collectively respond to Local Skills Improvement Plans.
As a Quality Assurance Technician at Activate Learning you’ll be responsible for administering and operating the Quality Assurance on all assets developed by the Digital Education team as part of the project and feed guidance back where required.
Working across multiple projects and asset types simultaneously you will need to manage your time and focus effectively to ensure that the ongoing QA process works effectively alongside the production process to meet the overall project delivery requirements.
This is a full-time role currently funded until March 2024, with funding likely to be extended until 2025. There is flexibility to be based at any campus with opportunities to work from home up to two days per week.
What do you need to be successful as a Quality Assurance Technician at Activate Learning?
The successful candidate will need 1-2 years experience working in a QA role, with demonstrable experience applying QA to multiple asset types and working across multiple projects simultaneously.
Ideally you would have experience using request management systems and understand a broad range of instructional design methodologies, design theory, story boarding and demonstrable experience of applying these concepts.
We're looking for candidates who have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a high level of attention to detail and good knowledge of Quality Assurance.
While not necessary, an understanding of learning technologies and virtual learning environments, and an eye for visual design would be positives for your application.
