Job description

We are looking for 2 Business Change analysts to join our Sunrise Electronic Patient Record (EPR) team, we are flexible on hours between 25-37.5 hours per week. Clinical knowledge or background is preferred but also applicants with a solid background of MTW systems or processes would be welcomed. This is an exciting time to join the Trust and be involved in a programme that will direct and shape the future of clinical IT systems within MTW.
We are looking for analysts to play an essential role in the safe and effective design of the Trust EPR system to meet the needs of our clinical staff whilst transforming patient care. We are looking to recruit candidates with a range of experiences. While a clinical background or previous experience in computing sciences is desirable, an interest in IT, hospital procedures and patient safety is essential. You will need an analytical mind, a focus on attention to detail, be able to work independently in an organised yet flexible manner and have excellent communication skills.
These posts will be responsible for co-designing the system working in conjunction with the rest of the Business Change team, clinicians and other stakeholders, to design new processes to support the transition from paper to electronic records as well as enhancements to the current Sunrise documentation. You will work within the team alongside suppliers to an agreed framework, reporting to the Digital Transformation lead to ensure projects are delivered in a timely manner.
You will also need to travel Trust-wide to meet with our clinical services on a regular basis to deliver the EPR Programme as well as being able to work from home via a virtual environment. In addition this opportunity lends itself ideally to secondments and applicants are encouraged to apply but please ensure you have sought your manager/organisation’s support before applying.
Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is a large acute hospital Trust in the county of Kent.
The Trust provides a full range of general hospital services and some areas of specialist complex care to around 760,000 people living in the south part of West Kent and the north part of East Sussex.
The Trust’s core catchment areas are Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells and their surrounding boroughs. We work from two main clinical sites: Maidstone Hospital and Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury. Tunbridge Wells Hospital opened in 2011 and provides single rooms with en-suites for all in-patients – the first of its kind in the country.
We employ more than 7,000 full and part-time staff in a huge range of clinical and non-clinical roles across both of our hospital sites.
Once your pre-employment checks have been completed you will be contacted by Recruitment to arrange your start date which will be in line with one of our Corporate Inductions.
At MTW, we seek to develop a culture where everyone can reach their full potential with opportunities to grow and develop their career. We recognise and value the unique contributions that each of our staff bring, delivering the best quality care and service to our patients. We are committed to being a diverse employer and strive to reflect everyone in our local communities. We welcome applications from people of diverse backgrounds, perspectives and experiences and celebrate the diversity of thought, viewpoints and ideas that will make our Trust the best place to work.
