About the role

We are looking to recruit a Dining Room Assistant to join our Catering team in Syr John Rhys Primary School, Ponterwyd, on a permanent basis.

You will be expected to manage the school kitchen on a day-to day basis according to the standards laid down by Ceredigion County Council.

The role includes:

  • distribution of meals from the producing kitchen to the receiving kitchen
  • general kitchen duties including washing up of equipment and utensils and the cleaning of all areas and surrounds
  • maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness in all areas of the kitchen at all times
  • ensuring observance of Food Safety and Environmental Health standards

We are looking to recruit an individual with:

  • experience/knowledge of working within a catering environment
  • adaptability
