What do people like about me? What amazing things can I do? I am a happy, smiley 5-year-old little boy and people like my hugs and my laugh. I have an amazing sense of humour and I am very loving and caring.
What do I like? I really love pirates, and number songs. I used to really love my dinosaurs but recently I’m not as fussed. I really like animals- toy animal figures especially. I love tickles and being spun around quickly, and I love to hold hands and feel safe.
What do I dislike? I sometimes don’t like too much noise but am learning to manage this with support.
What do I enjoy doing? I enjoy singing, playing with animal figures or pirate ships. I sometimes like to build with Lego and see how high I can get my tower. I sometimes like to paint or play in the sand/water. I like sensory stimulating activities- bouncing on a space hopper/trampoline, strong smelling playdoh or a weighted blanket to put on top of me. I like physical activities like running, kicking a ball, or going on a scooter/bike.
What do I need help with? I need help with my talking. I need people to give me time to get my words. I need people to be patient with me whilst I navigate certain environments. I sometimes need help with my emotions. I need people to be kind to me because sometimes I find things tricky. I need people to always try to talk to me, always try to include me in games and encourage me to join in with my peers. I need help to be shown how amazing the world is and how amazing it is to interact with other children.
