Find your place in Digital Product on TeamAmex. The International Card & Risk Services Technology (ICRST) team is the key Tech partner for the International Card Services (ICS) Business. ICS is a key growth driver for American Express. The Director Digital Product Management will lead a trail blazing function, the first of it's kind to look across the full end-to-end journey for critical ICS investments. Today ICS focuses on developing and deploying journeys but the Tech organization is focused on platforms. This new role will look holistically at the Business roadmap and Tech modernization investments, to form a single, cohesive roadmap that powers execution. The role will require deep value co-creation with Tech and Business stakeholders, and will own both the long term strategy and the near term journey-based execution to achieve measurable outcomes. This approach will advance the strategic goals of both the Tech and Business organizations by driving efficiency and achieving faster time to market for key investments. The leader will also be responsible for hiring a team of Product Management experts who will help to form the journey backlog and will also act as primary Product Managers for several UK engineering scrums. How will you make an impact in this role? Designs, develops, and manages activities for a product or group of products that form a full journey from product definition and planning through production, release, and end of life. Partners with stakeholder teams on enhancing/refining product strategies and roadmaps. Serves as the central resource with design, process, development, test, quality, and marketing, throughout all stages of a product's lifecycle. Manages the backlog by identifying and prioritizing capabilities through direct input with customers, analysts, developers and architects and knowledge of the domain. Establishes the strategic approach for the management and monitoring of a product or related group of products based on journey specific goals. Provides input into the determination of key product investments/strategies and long-term goals for the function. Partners with teams to drive the improvement of processes, procedures and policies related to their journeys. Ensures teams' success by identifying and removing roadblocks for the teams while ensuring alignment across groups. Leads teams and manages both a journey and engineering backlogs Collaborates with senior leaders, the International Card Services business and Tech COEs to implement enhancements to journeys.
