Director of Adults Skills

Are you a visionary leader passionate about adult education and skills development? Solihull College & University Centre and Stratford-upon-Avon College a leading Further Education institution, is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced professional to join our team as the Director of Adult Skills.

This role is to develop and implement the strategic vision for the Adults and Skills department. To lead the design, development, and delivery of high-quality adult education programs and skills training courses.

You will be required to manage a diverse team of educators and support staff, to foster a positive and collaborative work environment. In addition, you will collaborate with industry partners, employers, and community organisations to enhance program offerings. You will ensure efficient use of resources through effective budget management, seek external funding opportunities and implement quality assurance processes to maintain high standards in program delivery and student outcomes.

Candidates will have a strong understanding of adult learning principles, curriculum development, and program evaluation. In addition to this they will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders. Experience of strategic planning, budget management, and resource allocation is essential. Candidate should be educated to Level 6 or equivalent.
