Job description

In Liverpool we are passionate about improvement and ensuring that we put our residents at the heart of everything we do, we are mindful of our legacy, but excited for our future. Our city requires leaders with vision, passion and dedication and we are therefore excited to be advertising two new roles in our Adult Social Care directorate. Reporting to the Corporate Director of Adult Social Care and Health, these roles provide an opportunity to be part of the new era in Liverpool.

This role is crucial and is of specific importance for the future vision of the directorate and the authority. The role will develop an effective strategy, whilst working closely with partners to deliver the Council’s approach to place-based health commissioning with the Integrated Care Board, to ensure the delivery of high-quality services and positive outcomes for adults living in Liverpool. To develop and lead collaborative working partnerships with a range of external partners, delivering across organisational and local authority boundaries, to secure City Plan outcomes and impact for every community.

With substantial senior management experience of social and health care services working corporately and with health partners in a large and complex public sector organisation, together with a deep and demonstrable understanding of working in a demanding urban context, you will have a proven track record of improving services within social and health care environments and the ability to demonstrate improved outcomes.

The Council is committed to delivering fundamental improvement and transformation on behalf of our residents. Our mission is to deliver the best possible services and opportunities. As a Council, we must be bold, creative and build on the best that our city has to offer.

Our service users and residents sit at the core of our promise to make a positive difference to our residents’ quality of life. We are looking for senior leaders who know what good looks like with the confidence to take positive and evidenced-based decisions to do the right thing for the City of Liverpool and its communities.

For an informal discussion about either of these roles, please contact our recruitment partners at Tile Hill: Helen Alwell (07931 543 313) or Anita Denton (07725 554802).
