The Association of School and College Leaders (ASCL) is the leading professional association and trade union for all school and college leaders. ASCL is seeking to appoint a Director of ASCL Cymru. This role will report to the General Secretary of ASCL, and the post–holder will be a member of ASCL UK s Leadership Group
The Director of ASCL Cymru is responsible for leading on all aspects of the association s policy in relation to schools and colleges in Wales, representing members views. The postholder supports the work of ASCL Cymru Council and Executive and is expected to engage with and influence Welsh Government and middle tier bodies.
This is an exciting opportunity to occupy a national role at the forefront of a profession–led educational association. We are looking for a talented and authoritative individual with a background in education leadership who can influence Welsh policy, demonstrate strong leadership in the political education debate, deliver high quality professional development, and offer the highest quality professional support to our members.
This role is paid on a five–point incremental range from GBP73,486 GBP81,049 per annum. Reasonable travel and out–of–pocket expenses are also covered. The postholder will work from home, with IT and telephone equipment provided, with attendance at ASCL HQ in Leicester and other locations across the UK as required.
