Oakhaven Hospice - Director of Fundraising, Impact and Communications
Location: Lymington, Hampshire. Hybrid working – 2-3 days in the office
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £75-£85k
Oakhaven Hospice is seeking a Director of Fundraising, Impact and Communications to play a key role in shaping, developing and implementing the charity’s fundraising and marketing strategies.
Oakhaven has a long history of providing specialist palliative care and support to those facing life-limiting illness and their loved ones in both a home and hospice setting for the community of the New Forest, Totton and Waterside area. The hospice is recognised as an expert in its field for providing care to those with the most complex of end of life requirements, ensuring that they help people when and where they need it most.
This Director of Fundraising, Impact and Communications will have overall responsibility for the delivery of all fundraised income and on the continual development of the organisation’s income streams. Oakhaven is a community-based organisation and as such building relationships within the community will be a crucial part of this role. The post-holder also sits on the Senior Leadership Team, contributing towards the strategic development of the hospice.
The successful candidate will be creative, strategic and innovative, with excellent networking and communication skills and the ability to identify business development opportunities. They will lead by example and cultivate cohesive working relationships aligned to Oakhaven’s values and ethos, demonstrating best practice to encourage the team to achieve ambitious goals and successes.
You will have senior management experience in commercial marketing or professional fundraising at a multi-million pound level and proven successful experience of developing and implementing a fundraising strategy that has accelerated income growth and established a more diversified and sustainable income base. Finally, you will also have the ability to lead, inspire, manage and motivate a diverse team of staff and volunteers across a number of disciplines and roles and different locations towards common goals.
