We are excited to be recruiting for the new role of Director of Global Impact. This is a hybrid role, with time split working between our beautiful offices in Tisbury, Wiltshire and working from home, with some UK and International travel.
Who are we?
International Cat Care is an animal welfare charity, passionate about improving the lives of cats, both owned and unowned in the UK and abroad. We understand that people are at the centre of making positive change, and a cat friendly approach in all aspects of our relationship with cats - from veterinary care, population management, to the way we live with and care for cats - is vital.
iCatCare works with many individuals and organisations in all these different areas of cat welfare and has a long history of providing education, information and thought leadership on feline health and wellbeing. The charity’s veterinary division, the International Society of Feline Medicine, has been very successful in driving better feline veterinary care as well as introducing innovations such as Cat Friendly Clinic accreditation and the Journal of Feline Medicine and Surgery.
The Role:
We would welcome applications from those who can demonstrate inspirational leadership supporting and mentoring large professional teams. The role will lead on our Global Impact activities, ensuring delivery of a range of programmes and activities that make cat welfare science accessible to a wide range of audiences. In addition, you will support development and delivery of Global change programmes for owned and unowned cats. You will be able to evidence a deep commitment to animal welfare and continued learning with extensive experience within a veterinary or charity setting.
The successful candidate will be part of the Executive and Senior Leadership team and will lead the Cat Welfare, Publications and Learning teams. You will be expected to engage in the development and implementation of the organisational strategy. The successful candidate will maintain a deep knowledge of the international environment, markets and activities of the charity and ensure the charity’s ethos, mission, vision, and values are continued. You will be required to build relationships with international stakeholders to further the impact of the charity globally, as well as supporting development of our corporate partnerships, exploring ways our sponsors can work with us to improve cat welfare globally.
