Location: Cambridge

Contract: Permanent, 35 hours per week

About the role

As the Director of Operational Excellence, you will be responsible for transforming our approach to assessment service delivery to ensure that the business is agile and responsive to the competitive environment, and that we are increasingly efficient in the optimisation and development of our services. This will also include.

  • Defining and maintaining the future strategy and vision for the development of Operational Excellence and the supporting frameworks, tools and capabilities that underpin our products.
  • Influencing the broader approach towards delivering Operational Excellence, identifying opportunities for the use of shared capabilities across the group
  • Creating and implementing change management strategies and plans that maximise colleague and customer adoption and usage while minimising resistance and risk of service degradation.
  • Assessing the impact of change from the perspective of the end customer, centre, and our Cambridge organisation and leading the relevant teams to agree and put in place new plans and policies.

You will work with the propositions and regional teams to ensure an effective Go-To Market plan is produced and executed for any changes impacting those teams or our customers.

About you

To excel in this role, you should possess advanced proficiency and hands-on experience in implementing change frameworks and strategies to drive extensive, intricate transformations across diverse organisations. Additionally, you should demonstrate expertise in business intelligence functions, encompassing cutting-edge analytics, adherence to industry standards, and adoption of best practices.

Your familiarity with process enhancement frameworks and methodologies, such as six sigma, coupled with a track record of successfully implementing them within expansive operational environments undergoing significant change, is essential.

Significant experience in both direct and indirect leadership is crucial. You should be adept at motivating teams spanning from entry-level personnel to senior management, managing high levels of accountability amidst myriad priorities within global, geographically dispersed teams. Your demonstrated capability in communication, collaboration, and adept management of stakeholders across various levels is paramount to success in this role.
