DIRECTOR OF PARK MANAGEMENT
HELP INSPIRE THE FUTURE OF ONE OF BRITAIN’S FINEST LANDSCAPES
Northumberland National Park is at the forefront of caring for one of the nation’s finest landscapes, helping make a real impact at a local level but on a 405 square mile scale!
It is time for you to make your mark and bring a lasting contribution.
A forward looking and ambitious organisation, we are truly passionate about our role in recovering nature, conserving and enhancing our heritage, making the national park welcoming for all, and supporting our upland communities.
We are seeking a Director of Park Management, to complete our Leadership Team and help take the Park and the Authority forward.
You will be an experienced leader who has demonstrated real achievement, and you will need to share our passion and ambition and have the desire to make a real and lasting impact.
With the value of national parks having been highlighted to be more relevant than ever in helping address some of the greatest challenges facing society, from action on climate change and recovering nature and supporting people’s health and well-being, you will help Northumberland play its full part. Our new Management Plan outlines the strong commitment by the Authority and its partners to delivering on these challenges, taking the many opportunities the Park provides.
About you:
As a member of the Authority’s Leadership Team you will bring strong leadership and skills as a supportive and enabling manager, with a strong strategic outlook and ability to build engaging visions for the future.
You will have a proven ability to build lasting and beneficial relationships across the public, private and third sectors, and across thematic boundaries.
You will have a strong track record of achievement in roles directly relevant to the job and senior experience of policy development and relevant legislation to national parks.
Above all, you will be committed to the values of the UK’s national parks and for caring for one of our finest landscapes.
If this role sounds like it’s for you, then we really would like to hear from you.
The Park Authority is an inclusive organisation and we welcome applications from everyone irrespective of sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, race, religion and belief, pregnancy and maternity, relationship status, disability, age and social class. If you are an applicant with disabilities who meets the essential requirements of the post, we will interview you.
