Here at Naomi House and Jacksplace, a leading children and young adults charity, we have been providing expert hospice care to families across the south for over 25 years.
But our plans don’t just focus on maintaining a reputation for quality care, they drive us to do more and reach more, so more children and young people can receive expert, personalised and thoughtful support for good days, difficult days and last days. And our people, both paid staff and volunteers are vital to our success.
Reporting to the Chief Executive, as Director of People and Culture, you will deliver strategic and operational leadership on all people initiatives to embed the culture that helps us achieve our goals. With a small professional team of both HR and Volunteer colleagues, you will design and implement all core HR processes such as recruitment, reward and retention, learning and development, and colleague feedback and engagement to staff, volunteers and managers in departments such as clinical services, fundraising, retail, maintenance, housekeeping, catering and administration. Your experience will be gained in a senior HR role in an organisation with diverse environments, providing advice and guidance at all levels. An understanding of care services and an appreciation of working with volunteers would also be a great asset. But your passion needs to be people as you champion our Values to be Agile, Supportive, Proud, Inclusive, Responsive and Encouraging, to ensure that we all ASPIRE to deliver the promises we make to the people we care for, our colleagues and our supporters.
We face the same challenges as any public sector or commercial organisation in times of social, political and economic changes. But the dedication and creativity of our people means we tackle those challenges with determination. If you share our values and can demonstrate the same determination, we’d like to hear from you.
This is a permanent, full-time role working 37.5 hours per week.
Salary – to £70,000
Benefits include flexible working options, 28 days holiday, group pension scheme, life assurance and the opportunity to work in an organisation where every job matters.
