City of London School is seeking a qualified social worker for the new role of Director of Safeguarding. The role holder will be a member of the Senior Management Team and have oversight of all safeguarding matters in the school under the leadership of the Deputy Head, Pastoral. The successful candidate will have broad experience of children’s social care and safeguarding in an educational setting. Candidates will need exceptional communication and relationship building skills, and an excellent knowledge of the legislation and best practice relating to safeguarding in schools. Experience of managing others, delivering training and expertise in record keeping are also required.
The role will be based in school during term time with more flexible working arrangements available in the school holidays. Salary will be competitive, taking account of qualifications and experience.
