About us The UCL Division of Psychiatry, located within the Faculty of Brain Sciences, is a world-renowned centre of excellence in mental health research. Our mission is to improve mental health through cutting-edge research and education. By leveraging insights from basic science, we address clinical problems with the aim of improving patient outcomes and public health. Moreover, we take pride in delivering innovative teaching that is directly relevant to clinical practice and informed by our research. Join our team and help us drive forward the field of mental health research and education. About the role UCL invites applications for the post of Director of the UCL Division of Psychiatry. The position of Director is available from September 2024 for an initial five-year term (renewable). Applicants internal to UCL can apply. For external applicants the role will be in addition to a full-time permanent professorial appointment at UCL. About you The person appointed will be a highly effective leader with clear and focussed vision, a strong strategist, and a first class manager who will foster and build on the excellence of the Division of Psychiatry. He or she will have an outstanding track record in relevant research combined with substantial experience of academic and strategic management. This background will enable the appointee to play a pivotal role in shaping strategic vision, directing and providing leadership for the Division to deliver key objectives, and developing and progressing the Division’s strategy, securing wider engagement across UCL and beyond. The post is a Grade 10, Non-Clinical or Clinical Consultant Professorial appointment with a competitive salary and relocation package. This is a full time position, but job share, part time and other flexible working may be considered. Presentations will be held on Tuesday 16 April and interviews will be held in person on Wednesday 17 April.
