We are recruiting for a Director of Workforce and Organisational Development for Health Education & Improvement Wales, the strategic workforce organisation and statutory education body for NHS Wales.

This is a Board level post and a key member of our Executive Team. It is an exciting opportunity for a high-performing, collaborative leader to help shape the health workforce in Wales in line with A Healthier Wales and our Workforce Strategy for Health and Social Care. The successful candidate will be a very senior workforce professional, who has experience of working at Board level and across sectors, ideally in the NHS.  The role would suit an individual who is innovative and forward thinking, committed to the wellbeing of our workforce, and equality and diversity.   Role modelling the values and behaviours of the organisation, and compassionate leadership are fundamental requirements.

As a national organisation close working with NHS colleagues as well as government, professional bodies and other key stakeholders is an essential part of the role, at Wales and UK level.
