About the role
The Director of our new School of Arts, Media, and Creative Industries Management will be responsible for the further development and successful delivery of the undergraduate provision and curriculum within the designated area of jurisdiction and will have associated responsibilities to work with the other academic leaders in providing a cohesive and integrated academic provision in line with the new AUB Strategy. The postholder will work closely with the Executive Director Academic Innovation and academic leaders in owning and delivering the learning and teaching strategy and taking specific responsibility for the undergraduate provision in their area.
The postholder will work in conjunction with the executive and academic leaders in developing core academic priorities as identified in learning, teaching, research, and knowledge exchange strategies. They will contribute to the well-being of all students, as well as high level student experience and achievement, through supportive relationships with relevant senior colleagues.
The Director, Arts, Media, and Creative Industries Management will also ensure the proper conduct of their area of jurisdiction in accordance with the rules and regulations of the University, including staffing and resourcing matters; holding overarching responsibility for the management of all its academic, technical and administrative staff and resources.
The post holder will have a strong personal commitment to higher education and the values, aims and objectives of the University, and will demonstrate a clear oversight of AUB priorities and balance conflicting demands with limited resources. Excellent leadership and management skills are essential for the leadership and coordination of cross-functional teams, building relationships to deliver against objectives.
