Gartner Consulting acts as an extension to Gartner Research, helping clients on their most critical and strategic IT priorities.

The EMEA Consulting business, which represents approximately half of Gartner Consulting’s global revenues, has been growing double digit for several years.

To help sustain the growth momentum the Director/ VP Operations will report directly into the SVP for EMEA and will help to drive the strategic priorities and direction of this Consulting leader.

Responsibilities of the role

You will partner with the SVP EMEA and his leadership team to drive and coordinate continuous improvement programs for Gartner EMEA with a focus on supporting leadership team meetings, improving sales productivity and enhancing sales leadership effectiveness.

Directly engage and collaborate with Region Leaders, Industry Leaders and Practice Leaders within EMEA Consulting, and the Global Strategy & Operations team to develop and deploy programs and capabilities required to transform the EMEA business and enable these objectives.

Major Responsibilities/ Accountabilities:

  • Develop, improve and execute key programs to drive sales productivity and revenue growth in the EMEA consulting business.

  • Monitor and assess the progress and success of each program that has been launched and provide data to show business impact of each program initiative

  • Use analytics to identify best practices and define KPIs to track the impact of initiatives.

  • Support EMEA wide communications through townhalls and kickoffs

  • Manage operational cadence for EMEA Consulting business, including monthly operating reviews by region and industry/sector and quarterly operating reviews with Consulting

  • Execute, to a high quality, core Sales processes such as portfolio design, pipeline building, and forecasting needed to ensure business impact is achieved.

  • Influence and support Leadership team’s efforts (principally Region Leads and Industry Leads) to ensure high performance, strong alignment, best-practice sharing.

Technical/Professional Skills & Competencies

  • Track record of working strategically and operationally. Strong attention to detail yet able to share content and inspire others simply.

  • Experienced working in high-performing sales environments.

  • Accomplished at taking disparate data, coordinating analysis and identifying retention and growth revenue opportunities

  • Clear communication style – one to one and one to many

  • Politically astute; able to navigate complex organizations; demonstrated ability to achieve results through influence in a cross functional, matrixed team environment

  • Must be highly motivated, goal and results oriented, demonstrates a bias for action and disciplined execution.

  • Skilled in analytical thinking and communicating; proficient in PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Effective change agent, can lead change, think out of the box, and make new ideas happen. Ability to communicate vision and strategy

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and foster strong cross-functional relationships

  • High energy individual with superior verbal & written communication & presentation skills; ability to communicate at executive levels inside and outside the company
