The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the newly created role as a Disability Coordinator. The postholder will be responsible for providing specialist support for students with disabilities and specific learning differences (SpLDs), in addition to general advice to the wider student population. Additionally, you will provide effective and integrated services to students and specialist advice to teaching staff, to identify and implement reasonable adjustments to LAMDA’s intensive training activities and to build accessible and inclusive learning environments. The successful applicant will facilitate an inclusive learning environment by ensuring disabled students can fully participate in all academic activities. You must be confident in managing many student caseloads and escalating matters of concern where appropriate. Additionally, you will be passionate about supporting teaching and providing the best possible opportunities for all students.The role will be working 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday, One-Year, Fixed-term.
