An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Disclosure Officer to lead a team within the Information Management Department on a 9-to-12-month Maternity Cover basis.

 

As an organisation we hold a lot of information. Managing a team, you will oversee the handling of external requests for the disclosure of police information to help other organisations and employers make safer decisions. These requests range from court orders, DBS applications and child protection requests, to enquiries from regulatory bodies.

 

Please note that as part of MV/SC vetting requirements, you must have 5 years continuous UK residency.

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead a team and take day to day responsibility for the management of performance and service delivery, compliance against relevant statutory framework and other standards.
  • Review and ensure the appropriate application of exemptions from disclosure or redaction and fully documented decision making.
  • Carry out quality assurance to ensure that relevant standards are maintained and that any training and development needs are addressed.

 

The must haves

  • Direct, or indirect, experience of coaching, mentoring, and planning for service delivery.
  • Ability to methodically examine detailed information and provide explanation and interpretation.
  • Provide specialist advice and guidance to customers.

Salary: £29,085 - £35,982

For part time hours the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, this is based on the number of hours for the vacancy.
