Despatch Operative / FLT Driver

Working Hours - Monday - Friday 8am - 4.30pm

Location - HD2, Huddersfield, however will transfer to Bradford site when trained.

Salary - £12p/h

Duration - Temporary - Permanent

Duties:

To ensure that all rails, carriages and kit boxes are assembled, tested and prepared for despatch in accordance with the Company's quality and service standards.

As Despatch Operative you will working as per the despatch schedule, check contents, labelling and despatch documents prior to despatch and prepare for collection.

• Ensure Despatch schedules are completed within agreed timescales and that all necessary paperwork is checked and completed accurately and to procedure.
• Communicate with drivers/collections to ensure correct documents are available for despatch, signed and recorded.
• Ensure jobs correspond with relevant paperwork and prepare for despatch.
• FLT work
• Keep general work area organised and tidy at all times
• Ensure that safe working practices are adhered to at all times in accordance with the Company's Health & Safety policy and raise any issues or concerns with Line Management
• Carry out duties compatible with the job and individual skills as required

Experience/Skills;

• Previous experience of working in a Despatch environment
• Counterbalance FLT licence essential
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work to standard operating procedures and quality standards
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Able to prioritise workload
• Ability to understand job sheets and technical information
• A great attitude to providing an excellent level of customer service
• Adaptable to learning new skills
• Ability to retain knowledge and process information
• Excellent team player who can work without supervision

Hours must remain flexible as they may change from time to time to accommodate business requirements.

Half an hour for lunch, with both morning and afternoon breaks.
