This role provides a unique chance for a Dispatch manager to advance their career within Manufacturing, gaining invaluable experience

Key Responsibilities of the Dispatch manager:

• Supervise and lead a team of packers & drivers ensuring they are properly trained and motivated.


• Schedule and assign tasks to staff to optimize efficiency and meet daily targets.


• Liaise with supervisors of other departments to request work priorities.


• Plan daily workloads & deliveries around the priority despatch report.


• Assess the need and arrange sub-contract hauliers wherever required.


• Develop efficient routing and scheduling plans for deliveries & pickups.


• Ensure despatch notes are created and checked to represent the goods being shipped.


• Allocate resources effectively, including vehicles, drivers, and equipment, to meet daily demands.


• Ensure that equipment and vehicles are well-maintained and in compliance with regulations.


• Address and resolve issues that may arise during the dispatch process, such as delays, route changes, or equipment malfunctions.


• Act as a point of contact for troubleshooting and problem-solving.

• Competitive Salary £30,000 - £35000 depending on experience
