Working Hours: 07:00 – 17:15 Monday – Thursday to include 1x 30 mins unpaid break, and 2x 10 min paid breaks.
Salary: £10.92 per hour
The Positionof a Dispatch Operative
Reporting to the Operations Manager / Process Co-Ordinator, you will be responsible for the picking, packing and shipping of customer orders both in the UK and abroad.
Specifically, your duties will include
• Following printed picking slips to pick textiles from stock.
• General packing duties, including boxes and pallets.
• Packing and Dispatching of products to customers accurately, per customer specification in a timely manner.
• Creating courier paperwork accurately in a timely manner.
• Dealing with couriers daily and handling collections and deliveries.
• Effective and safe storage of product and stock rotation.
• Issuing stock and invoicing goods using in house IT systems.
• Stock Taking

Full training will be given in this role, so no specific knowledge is required, however, our ideal candidate will:
• Have previous experience in a busy goods in/dispatch or labour environment.
• Have an understanding of computerised stock control systems.
• Have a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good computer skills with the ability to update systems accurately and efficiently.
• The ability to provide and follow clear and concise communications either verbally or written.
A valid counterbalance forklift licence would be beneficial to your application but not essential.
This position will require daily manual handling of boxes weighing up to 25KGS and pallets of varying weights, please ensure this is considered before sending your application.
