We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Dispensary RVN or a GPhC Registered Pharmacy Technician to work in The Queen Mother Hospital for Animals. This position is ideal for someone with the passion and drive to develop their dispensary career, broaden their knowledge of medications, and specialise in supporting a wide range of services within a small animal referral hospital.
Working as part of our friendly and enthusiastic dispensary team, you will assist with the dispensing of medications for inpatients and outpatients, calculating drug doses, and ordering drugs and consumables to ensure that sufficient stock levels are maintained.
The working pattern is Monday-Friday, with shifts times of 8:00-4:00 and 9:30-5:30 and one in three weekends on a rota basis. Time off in lieu following a full weekend will be given. This is a full-time position, but we would be happy to discuss part-time (4 days per week).
The successful candidate will have experience and a sound knowledge of drugs, including controlled drugs, stock control, legal compliance, and excellent communication skills.
