Pledger Pharmacy in Horsford, just outside Norwich are looking to employ a dispensing assistant or pharmacy technician ideally to start in February 2024. This will enable the first two months of employment to be a handing over period by the staff member who is retiring after working for us for 26 years. We are ideally looking for someone to work 30-37 hours per week however a job share could be considered.About the Candidate
The candidate should:
- have a GPhC /other training provider recognised qualification as a dispensing assistant or pharmacy technician (we are not looking for an ACT qualification)
- ideally be experienced in community pharmacy
- be able to work well with others as part of a small team
- offer flexibility in work patterns to include some Saturday working.
About Us
We are a family run independent community pharmacy attached to a GP surgery in Horsford just outside Norwich. We encourage the development of our staff by providing training and opportunities to take on new roles within the pharmacy, Diane the manager has been the pharmacist since opening in September 1996. The growth of the business in the past two years has meant we have had to expand our staff and currently employ 2 pre reg pharmacy technicians (who will qualify as ACTs), 2 dispensing assistants and 1 medicine counter assistant. As well as this we have two university pharmacy students who help on Saturdays and holidays and a Saturday staff member.
