Optical Practice Manager/ Dispensing Optician
We are currently recruiting for an Optical Practice Manager & Dispensing Optician to join a well-established and very well respected independent company with 2
practices in the East London and South East London areas. Optical Practice Manager/ Dispensing Optician Responsibilities:
* Manage the recruitment and induction of new staff
* Managing a small team, training and motivating the team to help increase
* sales.
* Ensure all customer complaints are dealt with efficiently and effectively
* Ensure the leadership vision in the store is in line with the company's
* Vision and Values
* Use management reports and information in relation to Key Performance
* Indicators
* Set relevant performance targets and bonus schemes for all staff
* Understand employment plus Health and Safety laws and manage staff
* performance accordingly
* Develop commercial opportunities through effective PR and marketing
* Liaise with the company owner to discuss progress and new business opportunities.
Optical Practice Manager/ Dispensing Optician Skills required;
* Familiar with KPI's
* Targets
* Commercially minded and able to push the business forward
* Able to carry out staff training
* Excellent customer service skills
* Excellent dispense skills at all levels
* Knowledge of contact lenses
* Able to hit the ground running
* Proven track record of exceptional customer service
* You'll need to be registered with the General Optical Council as a fully qualified Dispensing Optician
APPLICANTS MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 3 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN A MANAGEMENT ROLE.
Optical Practice Manager/ Dispensing Optician Salary/ Package and
Benefits:
* Very competitive (depending on experience) up to £40,000
* Bonus potential based on practice profits which can generally generates
* several additional thousand pounds in income each year
* GOC fees paid
* 20 days holiday + 8 bank holidays.
The successful candidate will be expected to work between our 2 Practices
that are within 30 minutes of each other as necessary.
