This is a pivotal role in driving the company’s growth and success, and will develop and execute comprehensive distribution strategies. You will be looking after MUBI’s theatrical distribution and MUBI GO in UK/IE, in addition to occasional support in other EMEA territories.

You will be leading a performance-driven team and be responsible for driving revenue growth, establishing partnerships and expanding the organisation’s reach throughout the stated territories. You will ensure theatrical distribution strategies are aligned across the group in order to optimise and deliver against our cinema performance targets.

This role is a full-time, fixed term maternity cover role for 12 months, based in MUBI’s London office.

You will focus on:

  • Strategy and execution of MUBI’s theatrical film slate across cinemas in the UK/IE, and on occasion other EMEA countries, in close collaboration with LATAM and US groups
  • Delivering on internal targets for box office and MUBI GO growth
  • Providing support for existing teams within UK/IE on a daily basis
  • Collaborating with wider MUBI teams to deliver on targets
  • Synchronising with other MUBI teams for dating films for theatrical/platform releases
  • Driving sales efforts with exhibition in the UK/IE
  • Providing ad-hoc support across additional EMEA territories as required

You will bring:

  • Strong commercial knowledge, understanding and experience within distribution and exhibition across key markets
  • Significant experience (ideally a minimum seven years) within a theatrical sales environment, with a proven track record of box office accomplishment
  • Strong management and communication skills along with the ability to lead and work cross-functionally across distribution departments to coordinate timelines across territories
  • A goal-orientated mindset with a strong eye for detail and the ability to forecast and model box office scenarios
  • An enthusiastic and passionate attitude with a positive and collaborative approach
  • Confidence in working with team members of varying levels of seniority
  • The ability to work and thrive under pressure
