Distribution Overhead Lines Person

Electricity North West is looking for Overhead Lines Operatives to join our North Lakes team working out of either the Carlisle or Penrith Depots. The role comes with a generous salary, many excellent benefits and the chance to join a thriving company.

You will participate in the construction and refurbishment of the overhead power distribution network and in fault location and repair work. This takes place during working hours and after hours when required, ensuring that interruptions to customers' electricity supplies are kept to a minimum.

As an Overhead Line Operative, you can expect to:

• Report on progress throughout thereby enabling colleagues within the Customer Contact Centre to keep our customers fully informed at all times
• Be part of the team responsible for the inspection and maintenance of various items of overhead plant.

To apply, you must live within a 45-minute drive of either CA2 or CA11 and be able to demonstrate the ability to complete paperwork relating to work-based activities. You must hold a minimum of 5 GCSE's or equivalent and have a relevant City and Guilds level 2 qualification. You will also need to be willing to work outside in all weathers with some anti-social hours. In addition, you should be willing and able to work as part of a team and possess a full UK driving licence.
