This incredibly exciting role as Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Manager plays a pivotal part in our vision, leading the operational delivery of Virgin Atlantic's Diversity and Inclusion objectives.

Day to day

As Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Manager you will:

  • Maintain effective relationships with the VAA Network Chairs and Executive sponsors through facilitation of regular Belonging Collective meetings
  • Champion our Belonging Networks and provide support and guidance to promote their impact and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with the People Team and other departments to integrate DEI principles into hiring practices, people journeys and company policies.
  • Help shape and contribute to building Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) best practice resources, creating and delivering training programmes, workshops, and educational materials such as digital learning
  • Be accountable for up-to-date tracking and planning of annual objectives and analysis of diversity metrics to identify areas for improvement and track progress towards diversity goals.
  • Collaborate with Brand, Internal Comms, and Marketing to ensure our initiatives are aligned with our external and internal messages
  • Establish partnerships with external organisations, community groups, and industry networks to advance diversity initiatives and best practices
  • Monitor industry trends and stay updated on regulations related to diversity, equity, and Inclusion, integrating new insights into the organisation's strategy.
  • Produce regular reports and presentations on Be Yourself initiatives and progress for stakeholders and leadership.

About you

Would you love to contribute to the shaping and delivery of our DEI strategy? Are you a highly effective, strong, and articulate communicator with a clear understanding of barriers faced by groups underrepresented in Aviation? Then this could be the role for you!

In addition to the above, we're looking for our successful candidate to demonstrate the following:
  • DEI knowledge specialist with experience across a broad range of best practice methodologies.
  • Experience of senior stakeholder management
  • Proven ability to manage projects
  • Innovative mindset
  • Experience analysing, interpreting and reporting on Diversity and CSR data
