Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional Team Lead for Divisional Administration.
We are seeking to appoint an individual with previous experience of working in a demanding and challenging administration role, together with an understanding of the NHS or a large and complex multisite organisation within the Public or Private sector.
Joining an established team of Divisional Administrators, this post will support Directors, Deputy Directors and Service Managers. This post’s workload will be fast paced and unpredictable, and it is important that you can demonstrate through experience an ability to prioritise, be organized and have a sound understanding of the need for discretion and diplomacy in a confidential setting.
The post holder’s department is responsible for administrating all medical and surgical rotas, as well as Consultant leave and junior doctor gaps. It is therefore essential that the post holder has exceptional communication skills, and can show initiative.
The post holder also has line management responsibility for a number of direct reports, so effective and supportive staff management skills are an important attribute. A proven track record of working of working in a busy organisation where competing priorities are a daily challenge is essential.
Applications are welcome from those who have a recognised qualification in Administration equivalent to HNC in Secretarial Studies or Business Administration, or SVQ in Administration at Level 3, or significant relevant equivalent experience. The hours of this post will be worked across core office hours Monday to Friday.
